NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF STUPID THINGS IN LARGE NUMBERS. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Sure enough, Manu cocked an eyebrow at his rather straightforward proclamation.
"So she cracked you in the cheek because she's in denial?" He nestled into his seat as eyes roved around the cabin. "If you say so, kiddo. So who's ship is this?"

I'LL BREAK THE SEAL OF THIS CURSE IF I POSSIBLY CAN, FOR FREEDOM OF EVERY MAN. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Kiddo?
"Eh? Oh, the Avenger's Lance? Well, me of course! Nahnahnah... the Maiden's Lance belongs to Lord Avaniel, but, Remis and I borrowed it for a quick mission, ya'see? We're both his disciples, but, he listens to Remis waaay more than me. Neither of them would vote for a team name, so, they're just lame."
He huffed at this and crossed his arms.

NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF STUPID THINGS IN LARGE NUMBERS. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - "Lord Avaniel?" He scratched the side of his face, feeling his facial hair. "Can't say I know him. Maybe I'll meet him soon." His hand flopped to his lap as he leaned back in his seat with an audible groan.
"So when're we taking off?"

"Taking off...? You've never flown in a starship, have you? We already have!"
He pointed to one of the blast windows, squeezed his fingers slightly, and it opened, leaving only the glass to reveal the outside.
"I'm gonna go see what Remis and Suzu are doing. You enjoy the view for a bit, mm'kay~?" Without waiting for an answer, he left the room.

NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF STUPID THINGS IN LARGE NUMBERS. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ...Well, damn. The kid was right.
Manu stood up and came to the window. The stars twinkled outside, shining as bright as they do at night on the dunes. Speaking of which, eyes drifted down, looking about the orange ball of sand beneath him. He never thought he'd see the day he looked at Tatooine from this height. He also never though this view would be his last view, at least for a good long while. Lips pursed as his eyes wandered.
Man, what a view.

AND I CAN'T TELL IF YOU'RE LAUGHING, BETWEEN EACH SMILE THERE'S A TEAR IN YOUR EYE. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The holo-projector sparked to life without warning. A low hum filled the room, then an image of a woman appeared. Despite the fuzzy image, she was beautiful.
Long, wavy hair, gracious curves, and a medium bust.
Whoever this woman was, she was surely a sight to behold, and, if she ever set foot on Tatooine, there was no doubt that she would be quickly snagged by some slaver or thug.
"Avaniel? Avaniel, can you hear me? The Empire is carting away nearly half the alien population on Coruscant, and Knight Kaal is one of them. I need your guidance. Please, respond."

NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF STUPID THINGS IN LARGE NUMBERS. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - "Hm?"
Eyes turned towards the projection in the center of the atrium. He understood that the person wasn't in the room, but they could still be in contact with whoever was here. And at this moment, it was him. She was quite the looker, that's for sure. Could she see him? Would she want to see him, for that matter?
Well, someone has to take the call, so he shuffled up to the hologram, looking it over once before speaking.
"Uh, Avaniel isn't here, but I can take a message. Who am I speaking to?"

AND I CAN'T TELL IF YOU'RE LAUGHING, BETWEEN EACH SMILE THERE'S A TEAR IN YOUR EYE. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The holo-image flickered in and out, obviously due to some sort of interference from her side, or the ship's.
"Lady Genoce, who am I speaking to? Nevermind, it doesn't matter. Inform Avaniel that I'm going to attempt and rescue Knight Kaal."
She openned her mouth to say something else, but blaster fire caused her to duck, then turn off the feed.
The projector continued to hum, then died down, leaving the room silent.

NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF STUPID THINGS IN LARGE NUMBERS. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Manu's mouth wrung to one side as the feed cut. That background sound sounded like the same thing that shot up his house before he bailed. Whatever is going on, there's plenty of action behind it. No use in keeping the message to himself.
"Suzu!" Manu called across the ship. "I think you got a message!"

EVERYTHING'S GOT A MORAL, IF ONLY YOU CAN FIND IT. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The ship experienced slight turbulence as Suzu switched spots with Kine.
In truth, she was happy to get away from him, but, she really wanted to catch up with Remis. But, there was something more important than that right now, and that was to make sure Manu was okay. Surely, the stress would be hitting him by now, or, he would have a thousand questions for her to answer.
Didn't he say something about a message though?
She half-walked, half-jogged, to the main atrium, to find Manu standing next to the holo-projector. "What's going on?"

Manu pointed at the machine in the center of the room. "Some woman calling herself Lady Genoce called, wanting to talk to Avaniel. Apparently, the Empire is rounding up half of Coruscant and got ahold of Knight Kaal. She got cut off before she said anything else.
"Just figured you should know. I figure you know this stuff better than I do."

EVERYTHING'S GOT A MORAL, IF ONLY YOU CAN FIND IT. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Suzu was speechless.
A look of horror crossed her face, as she slowly backed away, looking like she suddenly lost her balance. She leaned against a wall and found herself sliding down to sit on the floor, too weak to stand any longer.
"The Empire has Sato...? No... no no no..."
She rose quickly and rushed down the hallway she came from, into the cockpit.
"Lady Genoce just spoke on the holo-projector! Comm Avaniel and tell him the Empire has captured Sato!"
Both Remis and Kine took on the same expression she had moments before, then Remis dialed in a series of numbers into the console, and quickly spoke into it, while Kine took control of the navicomputer.
Suzu reached out and grabbed his shoulder. "No, we can't go to Coruscant, it's too dangerous. You two are just Disciples. Lady Genoce can handle this. We have to get to Verumi though, now more than ever."

NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF STUPID THINGS IN LARGE NUMBERS. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Ah, the frustration and confusion of being horribly out of the loop. Manu flopped back into his seat, rubbing his mouth with his hand in thought. Whatever that message meant really shook up Suzu, if not the whole crew. Something big was going on, and he wasn't quite sure what. He stayed quiet and mulled it over.

EVEN THROUGH THE DARKEST DAYS, THIS FIRE BURNS, ALWAYS. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Keeper of the Truth.
As Saarai-Kaar, it was his duty to watch over the Jensaarai, and continue their teachings. Even after all these years, the Jensaarai remained strong and hidden, until today.
Knight Sato Kaal, former Disciple to Lord Avaniel Genoce, had gone to Coruscant for a mission given to him by the Council of Lords. He was to find Lady Belle Genoce, and give her safe passage back to Verumi. However, the Empire got to him before he could get to her.
Now, he was being herded like lambs to the slaughter, into a freighter, to who knows where. The Council of Elders discussed the matter, and, finally came to a conclusion. The Saarai-Kaar would leave for Coruscant, and with the assistance of Lady Genoce, they would rescue Knight Kaal, before the Empire learned of his Force Sensitivity, and, of his teaching.
For if the Empire found out about the Jensaarai, all their work would come to an end, for nothing.
These thoughts disturbed his mind as he stood in the hanger bay, awaiting his Disciples, and, the arrival of the runaway Forcer the Empire has been talking about. He wished he could have been meeting all of them during a more peaceful time, but, alas, there was nothing he could do about it. Perhaps the trip from Verumi to Coruscant would give them time to talk.
A black dot appeared in the sky, then slowly grew into shape. The Maiden's Lance, his pride and joy. He still found it humorous that Disciple Gufu wanted to name it the Avenger's Lance, along with calling their group the Avenger's. That apprentice had his head in the clouds, but more than that, he followed the ancient Mandalorian's practices a little too closely. It was all good intentions, the Saarai-Kaar assumed.
Learning Mando'a gave him a hobby, and gave the Saarai-Kaar some time to rest. If only he wasn't such a quick learner.
The ship landed, and Lord Avaniel stepped onto the ramp the moment it touched the ground. An eager Kinezumi nearly bumped into him, then flailed his arms as he fell backwards in surprise. "A-...Avaniel! What're you doing here so soon~?"
The ancient Lord, though young his appearance may be, stared down at his Disciple, then offered a hand to help him up. "Copaani gaan? And, I'm here for my ship." As Kinezumi rose, Suzu and Remis came to the exit, to find the Saarai-Kaar in their path. Remis offered a bow, while Suzu fought back the urge to hug him.
"Remis, good to see you again. I trust Tatooine went well? Ah, and the beautiful miss Suzu, pleasure to have you back. And, who might we have here?" He motioned towards Manu, with a nod of the head.
"This? Oh, this is Manu. He... he saved me from the FR, and the ODS." The Saarai-Kaar took a moment to size him up, then nodded. "Right. I'll be taking my ship back then. I have a slight situation on Coruscant to handle, but I'll be back in a day or so with Lady Genoce. I'm sure she'll be very pleased to see you again, Suzu." He paused for a moment. "And you, Kinezumi." Kinezumi beamed and scratched his chin in an embarrassed fashion.
"Are you sure you do not need our help?" Avaniel simply shook his head, and gave room for them to pass. Kinezumi was the first to walk down the ramp, hands folded together and behind his head. Suzu followed after him, hands shoved into her pockets, obviously wanting to go with the Saarai-Kaar to see Lady Genoce as soon as possible. Then, Remis stepped down the ramp, but only after allowing Manu to follow Suzu.
"I'll be back soon enough. Try not to study too hard, my young Disciples. Oh, and Suzu, make sure to introduce this, er, Manu, to the Council of Elders. I'll give them word that you will be visiting them." And with that, the ramp closed, and the ship began lifting off into the air, then blasted out of the atmosphere.
With the exit, Kinezumi grunted, then headed for the temple, while Remis sighed, and followed his partner, leaving Suzu and Manu alone in the hanger.

NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF STUPID THINGS IN LARGE NUMBERS. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Was every hotshot in this galaxy younger than he was? For a guy in charge, Avaniel had nary a wrinkle to speak of. That aside, Manu sauntered off the shuttle, bag slung over his shoulder as he looked over the hangar they had landed in. It was a far deal cleaner than the hangar back at Tatooine. Only now did he think that his feet were not on his home planet now. No sand beneath his boots. While he didn't say it felt alien, it was still a good bit surreal. He made a point to keep out of the conversation. As the shuttle took off behind him and the others filtered out, Manu kept to himself, eyes roaming over the other shuttles and transports in the hangar.
